How to Get a New Certification Card

Your Certification card is one of the most important pieces of scuba equipment. Operators, stores, and resorts accept it as verification that you have been trained and are qualified for scuba diving. Your c-card allows you to rent equipment, fill tanks, and book charters.

What do you do if you lose your c-card or leave it behind? Your card can be replaced. If you know what to do, it can be replaced quickly. Become familiar with the policies and procedures of your certification agency for card replacement. Know what information the agency requires and keep it handy. Most agencies will verify your certification by phone or fax to the resort or operator.

The cost of replacement varies with each agency. It is a good idea to have an extra certification card. For more information, contact your agency.
