I thouoght it was a Spotted Drum, but I was with Dennis when I took it and he said it was a Jacknife, subtle difference and he knows his fish, so I will take his word for it.

I agree Dennis knows his fish, but if you look at these two photos, you will see that the one you posted resembles the Spotted Drum than the jacknife. Look at their side fin....the black is distinctively different and more like your posted photo. Also the black stripe (bigger one) that runs the on the top fin to the tail, is much wider and not as much curve as the jackknife.
