Very much off topic....
Hey gang...haven't been on the boards lately as we are in the middle of air show season. Since there are a few here that also share a passion for aviation I thought I would pass along something you might be interested in.
We are spinning up the only (as far as we know) general aviation radio station (internet) on the planet. It will cover a myriad of aviation related topics with some of the movers and shakers in various aviation related genres. Programming will be 24/7
The site is www.flightineradio.com (http://www.flightineradio.com), click on the mic then on the monitor. That is the only link up right now as we are in final stages of beta-tests. We flip the switch on the 27th of this month. Also, if you are involved in aviation and have a story you think fellow aviators would enjoy...contact me offline and we'll chat.
Best regards,
Don

Thanks Don!!
I'll have to see if I can arrange for my Dad to visit my sister and check it out on her internet. He'd really enjoy that!

Pue,
Its mostly music for our beta-testers to listen to so as not to get bored. We have a few performers and some of the ATC we capture at the shows for variety at the moment. End of the month will be more aviation stuff less music. My biz partner has a sense of humor so every once in a while you will hear various Muppet songs.
How'd you do on your cave class? Tell Bob I say "howdy"
Best regards,
Don

He said 'howdy'.....hehe.
It's going to take a while to talk to my sister, and my dad, to coordinate getting him in front of the computer. I figure you have six months to a year......
Cave class went very well. Going to have to look at going back for Thanksgiving. :D
I'll be very happy to check it out. My best buddy and I went flying yesterday morning. We put her airplane back together from the annual on Saturday morning and then had a really nice flight on Sunday. Flew from Williamsburg, Va to Franklin, Va, bought gas, flew back.
And Princess, I don't think I have ever told you, but I really like your signature. It's a good thing to remember and try to live up to.
Tried to get to the web site and no joy. Maybe it's being blocked by my work firewall. I'll try at home this evening.

Dennis,
Weather here yesterday was horrible for flying; glad you were able to get out. The station won't go "live" until the end of the month and we are slowing adding new content components daily. Have a lot of different elements coming on line. You will hear a few more of them and less music as the month progresses. If you have any suggestions for topics you would like to hear, let me know...
Best regards,
Don

No... at least not the stuff I threw out when I emptied the fridge and freezer today. :cussing:
...at least I hadn't loaded up the freezer and fridge lately since we've been gone so much.

Sounds cool. I was at Toledo Express Airport late last night waiting to photograph Sen. Joe Biden as he landed and F-16's from the 180th Air National Guard were lighting up the sky doing touch and go's with afterburners on in front of a nearly full moon. It was awesome. Always thought being a pilot was just about the coolest job possible.

Did you have a long enough lens to get any good shots of that?
Only if it's not Iceberg Lettuce, tasteless stuff. :D
