Interesting. I can attest to higher water temperatures- we were at 89 degrees before Katrina came through. Still 85 afterward. I haven't been in yet since Rita passed by but I'll let you know. Meteorologists did forcast say alst year that we had been in a 10 year lull but that we could expect to see more & bigger hurricanes for the next 10 or so years. So far, they've been right- 4 in Florida last year alone, 3 so far this year- most of them nasty ones.

Well, you can argue about the causes of global warming and how long it will last, but there's little doubt it's happening now. Animal migration patterns have been altered for the last ten to twenty years--and I've seen this myself with ducks wintering over longer here in Central Texas. What will happen long term--anyone's guess.
